On Saturday April 30, 2005 at 10:34p.m. Katsumi (Paul) Mitsubura President of Dai Nippon Judo-Jujitsu Kai passed away due to a massive heart attack. Paul would have been 56 on August 23. Paul was an outstanding person in life and an outstanding martial artist. Paul became president in 1992 when his father Tatsuo Mitsubura founder of Dai Nippon Judo-Jujitsu Kai passed away.

Paul's father and Paul were like father and brother to me. I lived two and a half years with the Mitsubura family as Uchi Deshi (live in apprentice) . Paul will truly be missed.

Paul is survived by his wife Ilene and his mother Nayumi.
